Salisbury Appoints Cox as Assistant City Administrator, Ray as Communications Director

The City of Salisbury appointed Austin "Skip" Cox as Assistant City Administrator and Jordan Ray as Acting Communications Director, effective immediately.

Cox brings 35 years of experience in construction, real estate, and project management. Most recently, he served as Senior Property and Project Manager at Brownmarsh LLC, where he oversaw more than 2 million square feet of commercial real estate across multiple states and managed multimillion-dollar capital improvement projects. He has also supported planning and development work for the City of Salisbury.

Mayor Randy Taylor said Cox's expertise in infrastructure and development projects will strengthen the city's initiatives. "Austin is a well-known and highly experienced contractor and developer," Taylor said.

Ray moves into the Communications Director role from his position as Media Specialist in the Mayor's Office. He has managed the city's social media, produced video content, and developed marketing materials for major city events and announcements. Ray also founded a media production company with experience in marketing and business development.

"Jordan has proven to be a thoughtful and talented member of the team," Taylor said. "I expect him to excel in this leadership role."
