Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Lawrence County Until 11:00 PM CDT

Residents in southeastern Lawrence County, Arkansas, are advised to immediately move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service in Little Rock. This warning is effective until 11:00 PM CDT tonight, September 21.

At 10:27 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Egypt, approximately 7 miles west of Bono. The storm is moving southeast at 15 mph, posing hazards of 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail. These conditions are confirmed by radar indications.

Impacts are expected to include hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. The affected areas specifically include Sedgwick.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, which may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
