• Mrs. Eleanor Vance, 92, a long-time resident of Winter Haven, passed away peacefully at her home on March 30, 2026. Mrs. Vance was known for her volunteer work at Winter Haven Hospital and her beautiful rose garden on Lake Howard Drive, a scenic street along one of the city's many lakes.
• Mr. Robert "Bob" Peterson, 78, who owned and operated Peterson's Hardware on Central Avenue in historic downtown Winter Haven for over 40 years, passed away on April 2, 2026. Mr. Peterson was a familiar face to many local contractors and DIY enthusiasts.
• Ms. Clara Jenkins, 65, a beloved retired teacher from Winter Haven High School, passed away on April 5, 2026. Ms. Jenkins taught English for over 30 years and was instrumental in developing the school's drama club.
