Kyle Beach Joins Punta Gorda Fire Department

The Punta Gorda Fire Department proudly announced the addition of Kyle Beach to its ranks this week. Beach, a recent graduate of the fire academy, officially joined the department on Monday, April 14, 2026, bringing new energy and dedication to the city's public safety efforts.

Beach completed his rigorous training at the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy, where he distinguished himself in both academic and practical exercises. His commitment to serving the community and his passion for emergency response were evident throughout his training.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kyle to our team,” stated Fire Chief Michael Smith during a brief ceremony at Fire Station 1 on Taylor Road. “His enthusiasm and fresh perspective will be a valuable asset as we continue to protect and serve the residents of Punta Gorda. We look forward to his contributions to our department and the community.”

Beach will begin his duties immediately, undergoing further in-house training and familiarization with Punta Gorda’s specific operational procedures and service areas, including the historic downtown and waterfront neighborhoods. Residents may see him on calls throughout the city in the coming weeks.
