Fleming Island Library to Host Spring Book Sale Next Week
Fleming Island residents—from Eagle Harbor families to Town Center locals—looking for new reads at bargain prices should mark their calendars. The Fleming Island Branch Library, located at 1895 Town Center Blvd., will host its annual Spring Book Sale from Monday, April 14, through Saturday, April 19, 2026. This popular event offers a wide selection of gently used books, DVDs, and CDs for all ages and interests.
The sale, organized by the Friends of the Fleming Island Library, is a key fundraiser for the branch. Proceeds directly support library programs, technology upgrades, and the acquisition of new materials that benefit the entire community on this scenic island. Last year's sale helped fund the new children's reading corner, a much-appreciated addition by local families.
“Our Spring Book Sale is always a highlight for the community,” said a representative from the Friends of the Fleming Island Library. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to find hidden gems while also supporting a vital local institution. We’ve received many generous donations this year, so there will be plenty of fresh inventory each day.”
Hardcover books will be available for $2, paperbacks for $1, and children's books for 50 cents. DVDs and CDs will be priced at $1 each. A special 'bag day' will be held on Saturday, April 19, where patrons can fill a standard grocery bag with items for a flat rate of $5.
The sale hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Volunteers will be on hand to assist shoppers and answer questions. The Fleming Island Branch Library encourages everyone to come out and support their local library while discovering their next favorite book.
