Boston Police Dismantle Dorchester Fentanyl Ring, Seize 6+ Pounds
National Desk
April 26, 2026
Boston police executed coordinated searches Friday in Dorchester and Randolph, arresting Ricky Manuel Mendez-Feliz, 26, of Boston, and Ronfi Heredia-Valdez, 22, of Dorchester, on charges of drug possession with intent to distribute. Authorities seized more than six pounds of fentanyl, cocaine, jewelry, a car, a gun, ammunition and a large pill press from 100 Stanwood St. in Dorchester and a Randolph residence, where most narcotics and cash were stashed. The operation, run for months, supplied fentanyl and cocaine to multiple Boston areas, tracked via GPS linking Mendez-Feliz's home to the sites.[1]
Officers surveilled both locations before nabbing Mendez-Feliz leaving the Randolph house and Heredia-Valdez entering the Dorchester spot. The bust stems from a long-term narcotics investigation with federal collaboration, highlighting Dorchester's role in Greater Boston's drug trade. Stanwood Street, in the heart of District C-11, has seen prior enforcement, including January's arrest of Juan Romero, 31, of Dorchester, by citywide units.[1][2]
This takedown underscores Massachusetts' relentless fight against fentanyl, which fuels overdose deaths statewide. Related probes, like Attorney General Maura Healey's South Shore operation last week charging eight including Rafael Melo Brea, 31, of Boston, netted 565 grams of fentanyl, $300,000 cash, cocaine and guns across Boston and Randolph. Boston Police stress the Dorchester investigation remains active, with more arrests possible.[1][3]
