PETERSBURG, AK – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Juneau has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Petersburg Borough, effective immediately until 10:00 AM AKDT today, October 2nd. Residents are advised to drive with extreme caution.

Visibility is significantly reduced to 1/4 mile in dense fog conditions. Low visibility can create hazardous travel conditions.

If you must drive within Petersburg Borough this morning, slow down, turn on your headlights, and maintain ample distance between your vehicle and others. The advisory is in effect until 10:00 AM AKDT.
