
Suzuki's Rehab Continues with Double-A Knoxville
Outfielder Seiya Suzuki is continuing his rehabilitation assignment with the Double-A Knoxville Smokies as he recovers from a right knee injury sustained during the World Baseball Classic. He is expected to remain with the club as he works toward rejoining the Chicago Cubs.
Seiya Suzuki continues his rehabilitation assignment with the Double-A Knoxville Smokies as he works back from a right knee injury. The outfielder’s knee issue first surfaced during the World Baseball Classic, prompting his season-opening placement on the injured list.
Suzuki played in rehab games for the Smokies from Friday through Sunday. He is expected to remain with the Knoxville club as he progresses toward rejoining the Chicago Cubs roster.
The Cubs aim to have Suzuki back in their lineup to bolster their season push.
