Joey Fatone Opens Fat One's Hot Dogs at Universal CityWalk Orlando

Orlando residents and Universal CityWalk visitors can now enjoy elevated hot dogs with the official opening of Fat One's Hot Dogs & Italian Ice on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The new eatery, a collaboration between *NSYNC member Joey Fatone and entertainment manager Joe Mulvihill, replaces the former Hot Dog Hall of Fame. The restaurant brings a celebrity-backed dining option to the entertainment destination.

Fatone, an Orlando native and Dr. Phillips High School graduate, expressed his excitement for the venture. "We didn't reinvent the hot dog, we just elevated it," Fatone said during a preview event. "The flavors that you guys are going to try – it's absolutely amazing."

Signature menu items include the Dirty K-Pop Dog, featuring kimchi and gochujang, and the Angelo, a Greek-Mediterranean dog inspired by Fatone’s role in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Other offerings include The Fat One, a footlong piled with roasted pork and chili beans, and The Brazilian, with grilled linguica sausage and Calabrian honey.

Fat One's began as a kiosk at The Florida Mall in 2016, then transitioned to a mobile food truck in 2018 before securing its current location at CityWalk. Mulvihill’s Orlando-based Mulvi Group backs the venture. Fatone and Mulvihill have worked together at Universal Orlando since 1995, performing in Beetlejuice’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Graveyard Revue. Both continue to reside in Orlando.

On opening day, the first 100 guests received a wristband for a free hot dog, served by Fatone. He also met guests for photos for a limited time. The new establishment joins other upcoming CityWalk additions, including Luke Combs’ Category 10, a country music venue planned for 2027.
