Wladimir Klitschko, former fiancé of the late actress Hayden Panettiere, has filed a court document alleging that some of Panettiere's possessions, including jewelry, were sold to a pawn shop. This claim supplements a September petition filed with the Los Angeles County probate court.
Klitschko's initial petition sought temporary guardianship of their daughter, Kaya Klitschko, born in 2014, and raised concerns about preserving Panettiere's estate. The new filing states the pawn shop refused to disclose specific item details without law enforcement involvement. Klitschko fears Panettiere's belongings could be sold or lost, causing financial detriment to Kaya.
In addition to seeking guardianship, Klitschko requests court authority to initiate a law enforcement investigation to recover Panettiere's property, which he believes was misappropriated. Panettiere died Aug. 16, 2026, in South Carolina. The Greenville County Coroner's Office confirmed her death resulted from an accidental overdose of multiple drugs, including fentanyl.
The investigation into Panettiere's death is ongoing, with authorities reportedly focusing on the fentanyl source. Sources indicate the investigation may target street-level drug dealers.
