A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Northern Jackson, effective immediately as of 4:03 AM CDT on October 8, 2026, by the National Weather Service in New Orleans, LA. Residents in Wade, Vancleave, and Escatawpa should act now to complete preparations for dangerous wind and potential flooding.

Significant wind impacts are expected, with peak wind forecasts of 15-25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph, and a potential for winds reaching 58 to 73 mph. Moderate flooding rain is also anticipated, with 3-6 inches of rainfall and locally higher amounts possible. Emergency plans should include the potential for moderate flooding, which could lead to evacuations and rescues.
