Morriston Man Charged With 14 Counts of Child Abuse Material

Peter William Jacobs, 36, of Morriston faces 14 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material following his arrest June 9.

The Levy County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division opened an investigation in February after receiving a report of inappropriate sexual contact between an adult male and a juvenile. Detectives Joe Barrera and Cody Weaver obtained a search warrant for Jacobs' cell phone, which revealed multiple images consistent with child sexual abuse material.

Jacobs was booked into the Levy County Detention Center with bond set at $25,000 per count, totaling $350,000. He remains in custody pending trial. The Sheriff's Office said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
