Pasco County residents with unpaid court-related fees, fines or costs will face a 25% penalty if balances remain delinquent for 90 days. The new policy, mandated by Florida Statutes section 28.246(6), takes effect Oct. 7, 2026.

The Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller’s office will automatically refer outstanding balances to one of three contracted collection agencies: Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson, LLP; Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott LLP; and Penn Credit Corporation. These agencies may contact individuals via phone, mail, text message or email.

Individuals who receive a collection notice can pay directly through the Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller’s website, at pascoclerk.com/846, or to the assigned collection agency. The specific agency handling an account will be listed on the collection notice.

Residents should address outstanding balances promptly to avoid the 25% surcharge, which is applied once a case or citation is sent to a collection agency. For questions about a collection message or account status, contact the assigned agency directly.
