Michael Walsh, a longtime resident of New Port Richey, died Sept. 25, 2026, at his Florida home. He was [age not specified].
Walsh was known for his love of reading, diverse skills and passion for motorcycles and technology. He shared these interests with friends over coffee at a local establishment near Main Street.
Born in Long Island, New York, Walsh grew up in Olivebridge, New York. He later lived in Newfoundland, Canada, where he found a chosen family with Jessica and Jamie. He settled in Florida with his partner, Anna Michelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and George; his brother, Raymond; and his son, Thomas. He is survived by his children, Richard and Erin, and his grandchildren, Gregory and Nora.
Family members recall him as an avid reader, a tinkerer who could fix many things, and someone who disliked cold weather but cherished his time in Newfoundland.
A private service was held. The family suggests donations to a local charity supporting arts or veterans in Michael Walsh's name.
