
Deputy-Involved Shooting in Hudson Kills Man

Pasco County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating a deputy-involved shooting that occurred in the Little Road area of Hudson on Oct. 2. The incident resulted in the death of an adult man.
Deputies responded to reports of an agitated subject outside a business around noon. The business owner asked deputies to trespass the individual. When deputies approached, they saw the subject was carrying a knife. Despite attempts at verbal de-escalation, the subject confronted the deputies with the knife, leading to the shooting.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed there is no ongoing public safety threat.
The deputies involved are on paid administrative leave, standard protocol for the Pasco Sheriff's Office.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the incident.
