
PHSC Athletics Develops Students in New Port Richey
Pasco-Hernando State College athletics continues to focus on student development, with recent volleyball results and upcoming baseball games. A community 5k run is scheduled for November 1.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – Pasco-Hernando State College's athletics program promotes student development through intercollegiate sports. The college, a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Florida College System Activities Association, has won one national championship and five cross country championships.
PHSC teams frequently contend in championship tournaments. The athletics department emphasizes student athletes' accomplishments on and off the field, including knowledge acquisition, physical development, social skills, and values gained through collegiate sports. The college offers seven sports, serving students across the region.
The Women's Volleyball team lost matches against Lake-Sumter and St. John’s River on September 21, 2026, extending a losing streak to eight games. The team began conference play on September 8, 2026, with losses to SCF and St. Petersburg College.
The PHSC Men's Baseball team will host upcoming games. The college will also host the "Run with the Bobcats 5k & Chip Waller's 1 mile trot" on November 1, 2026, at 8 a.m. at the West Campus. This event allows the community to engage with the college and support its athletic programs.
