Lindsay Clancy Trial: Holdout Juror Speaks Out

A juror who held out during deliberations in the trial of Lindsay Clancy stated he had no doubts about the evidence presented. Michael Péguy Desronvil, identified as the lone holdout, shared his perspective through his attorney Friday.

Clancy faced three murder charges in connection with the strangulations of her children Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and infant Callan, on Jan. 24, 2023, at their Duxbury home. Clancy pleaded not guilty.

The trial concluded Sept. 4 with a mistrial after the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict following seven days of deliberations. Desronvil said in a released statement, "I didn't have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence presented."

He added, "Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she (Clancy) knew exactly what she was doing and planned."

The legal proceedings will continue following the mistrial.
