A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Lucedale, George County, effective immediately and expiring at 6:15 AM UTC on October 10th. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Mobile, AL issued the warning at 10:13 PM CDT on October 9th.

Residents can expect winds of 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. The NWS advises that sustained winds should remain below tropical storm force, but conditions may be gusty. Officials are currently assessing realized wind impacts, with little to no additional wind impacts expected. Residents should listen for instructions from local officials and ensure emergency readiness should the forecast change.

There is no storm surge inundation forecast, and little to no threat of storm surge flooding. Rough surf, coastal erosion, and life-threatening rip currents are possible. Little to no preparations for storm surge flooding are needed, but residents should follow local officials' instructions and monitor forecasts.

No additional significant rainfall is forecast, and the situation is unfavorable for tornadoes. Little to no potential impacts from flooding rain or tornadoes are expected. However, showers and thunderstorms with gusty winds may still occur.
