The National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles/Oxnard CA reports temperatures reaching up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit at the coast and 105 degrees Fahrenheit in the valleys. This warning is effective from 10 AM PDT today, October 2, and is expected to continue until 8 PM PDT on Thursday, October 8.
Affected areas include Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Santa Clarita Valley, Ventura County Inland Coast, Lake Casitas, Ojai Valley, Central Ventura County Valleys, Los Angeles County Beaches, Palos Verdes Hills, Los Angeles County Inland Coast (including Downtown Los Angeles), Western and Eastern Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Areas, Calabasas and Agoura Hills, Western and Eastern San Fernando Valley, Southeastern Ventura County Valleys, Santa Susana Mountains, and Los Angeles County San Gabriel Valley.
