A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Helena Valley from Saturday evening to Monday morning, with 3-5 inches of snow and winds up to 45 mph expected, potentially causing difficult travel and power outages.

Residents of the Helena Valley should prepare for a Winter Weather Advisory, effective from 6 PM Saturday, October 10th, until 6 AM MDT Monday, October 12th. The National Weather Service (NWS) Great Falls MT has issued this advisory, indicating expected snow and gusty winds.

Forecasts call for total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Winds are anticipated to gust as high as 45 mph. These conditions may make travel difficult, and the combination of gusty winds and heavy, wet snow could lead to downed tree branches and isolated power outages.

Drivers are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling. For the latest road conditions, residents can call 5-1-1.
