Polemonium pulcherrimum. Family: Polemoniaceae (commonly known as the Jacob's-ladder or phlox family). Occurs on stony soil of outcrops, grasslands, meadows, and talus slopes; from valleys to subalpine zones although more common at lower elevations. Lesquerella alpina (yellow flowers) and Douglasia montana (pink flowers) are also present in the background.
