Lakeland Regional Health broke ground today on a significant expansion and renovation of its Cancer Center. The project will add 34,500 square feet, including 21,800 square feet of new construction to house advanced medical equipment and treatment areas. An additional 12,700 square feet of the existing structure will be renovated to improve functionality and patient comfort.

The expanded center will offer more comprehensive and accessible cancer care for Polk County residents. Construction is expected to finish by January 2016.
