Key Biscayne Infrastructure Projects 2026
The Village of Key Biscayne is advancing infrastructure and safety projects based on feedback from its 2026 Biennial Survey.
Village Manager Steve Williamson said resident input drives planning decisions. The Village is paving roads, upgrading traffic calming devices and traffic circles, and improving Harbor Drive. Officials are also coordinating with the Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office and City of Miami on event traffic management for the Rickenbacker Causeway.
Flood control efforts include protecting the KBK-8 Center and Garden District, maintaining stormwater systems, and planning to underground electrical and telecommunications lines.
Parking citations increased 42 percent under enhanced traffic enforcement. The Village launched a golf cart safety campaign and is planning beach renourishment for 2027. A review of the Community Center is examining operational improvements.
