Hollywood African American Advisory Council Seeks Members

The African American Advisory Council has three vacant positions for residents interested in promoting fairness and equality in Hollywood. The council informs the city commission and staff about the needs and concerns of African Americans regarding economic, employment, housing, education, and cultural opportunities.

Current members Satonya Baker, Kingston Jean, Marcus Moise, Nakia McNeil, Joanne Taitt, and Floralba Valdes serve terms expiring June 30, 2029. Carmella Gardner, Georgette Lasley, Deborah Reaves Deveaux, and Nila Williams have terms expiring June 30, 2027. Three additional seats also expire June 30, 2027.
