Mark Asea, a Florida TikTok creator, faces new charges in a reopened investigation into alleged computer crimes. Police arrested Asea last week and held him at the St. Lucie County Jail in Port St. Lucie on a charge of an offense against computer users. His bond was set at $35,000.
Authorities allege Asea accessed a woman’s electronic devices and shared private conversations on TikTok. A reported TikTok video allegedly included the woman’s password, device information, banking details and other sensitive data. The woman stated that Asea was not a member of the private TikTok group chat where she shared some information and had not given him permission to share it. She believes Asea may have joined the chat using a fake account.
Another woman reported a similar incident. She said Asea remotely accessed her computer to assist with a program. Later, she discovered an image from a private Telegram message in one of his TikTok posts.
Asea previously faced stalking and computer-related charges filed in April. Prosecutors dropped those charges in May, closing the case. Court records show new charges were filed in September.
Asea markets himself online as a “cybersecurity engineer,” “demonologist” and “Grey Hat Hacker.” The investigation into his activities has reopened, leading to his recent arrest.
