Residents and travelers in Death Valley National Park, Esmeralda and Central Nye County, Lincoln County, and Western Clark and Southern Nye County should prepare for strong winds. The National Weather Service (NWS) Las Vegas NV has issued a Wind Advisory effective from Saturday, October 10, at 2 PM PDT, until Monday, October 12, at 5 AM PDT.

South winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph. These conditions can make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The NWS advises using extra caution on the roads.

The gusty winds may blow around unsecured outdoor objects. Tree limbs could be knocked down, and isolated power outages are possible. Residents are urged to secure any loose outdoor items to prevent damage or injury. There will likely be a brief lull in winds from late Saturday night through Sunday morning before increasing again Sunday afternoon.

This advisory was issued by NWS Las Vegas NV.
