Residents of Judith Gap are advised to prepare for severe winter conditions as a Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Billings, MT. The warning is effective from 12:57 AM MDT today, October 11, until noon MDT on Monday, October 12.

Periods of heavy snow and blowing snow are expected. Total snow accumulations are forecast to be between 4 and 8 inches, with amounts potentially reaching near a foot in mountainous areas. North winds are anticipated to gust up to 40 mph.

Travel will be very difficult, particularly on US-191 through Judith Gap, due to slick, snow-covered roads and poor visibility. Residents are urged to avoid unnecessary travel during this period.

The National Weather Service also warns that tree and power line damage is possible, which may lead to power outages. If travel is unavoidable, prepare for severe winter conditions by keeping an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle. For the latest road conditions, call 511.
