Kim Barnes Named Florida's Clerk of the Year 2026

Fort Walton Beach City Clerk Kim Barnes earned the 2026 Clerk of the Year award from the Florida Association of City Clerks, recognizing her leadership and contributions to the municipal clerk profession.

The FACC selects the award recipient based on professional achievements, community involvement, and innovation. Barnes, who holds the Master Municipal Clerk designation, joined Fort Walton Beach in 2007 and became city clerk in January 2015.
