Fort Myers schools are replacing paper flyers with the digital distribution system Peachjar. The initiative aims to reduce paper waste, cut printing costs and ease administrative burdens on staff and volunteers.

The transition to Peachjar is expected to save schools and community partners significant amounts of paper and printing expenses. The digital system will also free up teachers and staff to focus more on students.

Community agencies wishing to distribute flyers must allow five business days for review and processing. Incomplete submissions or those requiring additional approval may take up to seven days. The district reserves the right to deny flyer distribution requests if the content is deemed inappropriate or inconsistent with district policies. For-profit products or services generally will not be approved, with exceptions for after-school care programs, on-campus services, recognized business partners and student incentives.

Organizations interested in distributing flyers must register for an account on Peachjar's website. They must upload their flyer in PDF format (under 6 MB, with font sizes no smaller than 12) and submit it in both English and Spanish. Flyers must include the sponsoring entity's name and contact information, along with the date, location and address of the activity or event. A disclaimer stating, “The school is neither endorsing nor sponsoring this event, product or service nor endorsing the views of the sponsoring organization,” will be automatically included.

Peachjar also offers a Free Flyer Posting Program for local community organizations promoting free events or activities that do not encourage participation in fee-based programs or the purchase of products, services or food and beverages. Organizations seeking a Community Free account should contact Peachjar directly.
