Oakland Park Celebrates National Good Neighbor Day

Oakland Park residents gathered Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, to celebrate National Good Neighbor Day with a citywide event. The free celebration encouraged community connection and kindness through various activities designed to strengthen neighborly bonds.

The City of Oakland Park organized the event, which offered residents opportunities to participate in hands-on projects. Volunteers could sign up through Helper Helper, a platform used for planning, sharing updates and tracking hours.
