Lauderdale Lakes Voter Education Forum with Mayor Phillips Sept. 30

Lauderdale Lakes residents can learn about the upcoming 2026 General Election during a virtual community conversation hosted by Mayor Veronica Edwards Phillips. The event, titled "Know Before You Go: Community Voter Education," is part of the "Moments with the Mayor" series.

The discussion is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Phillips will be joined by Allyson Meyers, president of the League of Women Voters of Broward County. The conversation will cover voter registration, voting options, election procedures and resources for finding reliable election information.

The initiative aims to empower residents to feel more confident and prepared for the general election. "The conversation will provide an opportunity to explore important voter education topics," a city announcement stated. Residents can ask questions and learn how to participate effectively in the democratic process.

Residents can tune in virtually via Zoom, Facebook Live or YouTube. Those with specific questions about voter registration, voting procedures or preparing for Election Day should submit them in advance by emailing [email protected].
