Master's Academy Adopts Continuous Enrollment in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE – The Master's Academy has implemented a Continuous Enrollment program, shifting from an annual opt-in system to an opt-out model. This change aims to streamline the re-enrollment process for families and improve the school's long-term planning.

Under the new system, students automatically re-enroll each year until graduation unless parents or guardians formally notify the school of their intent to withdraw. The school reported that over 85% of eligible families returned for the current academic year, reflecting strong loyalty.

The school stated that knowing student numbers in advance allows for better planning regarding staffing, programs, curriculum and facility usage. This enables the school to invest tuition funds effectively.

Families enrolling in the Continuous Enrollment program will sign an initial agreement. After that, the annual process will primarily involve a reminder about the automatic withdrawal of the re-enrollment deposit on Feb. 1. Families must notify the school of their intention to dis-enroll by the end of January to avoid penalties, which include losing the deposit and, if dis-enrolling after June 1, paying one month's tuition.

The agreement includes exemptions from penalties for significant life changes, such as moving more than 25 miles away, the school's inability to meet a child's educational needs, withdrawal requested by the school, or other unforeseen circumstances approved by the Trustee Board. The Continuous Enrollment agreement was first introduced in December 2020 for the 2021-2022 school year, with families signing electronically via ParentsWeb.
