Harmonized System (HS) Code Lookup - Get Required Codes for International Packages. For international packages, you need an "HS Code" for each item in your package. Type a detailed description of your item to get the required HS Code. To use the lookup tool, enter a valid destination country and provide a clearly detailed description of the item. If possible, include what the item is used for or made of. Examples given include: laptop computer; fresh eggplant; antiviral spray medication. The character limit for item description is 500 characters. For an accurate result, add more details to the item description or add a category and subcategory. After searching, verify your results to ensure the description matches your item. If not, add more details in the Item Description and search again. Book Passport Appointment
Schedule An Appointment through USPS.com. The appointment booking system allows customers to select from multiple service types including: New Passport Only, New Passport with Photo Services, Passport Renewal, Digital Photo Services Only, and Hard Copy Photo Services Only. Users can specify the number of adults and minors under 16 years old attending the appointment. Appointments can be searched by location or preferred date, with availability shown for up to 4 weeks in advance. Appointments are not available on holidays. Each appointment takes approximately 15 minutes per person, and customers are asked to arrive 10 minutes early. The system searches for the 5 closest passport-accepting USPS locations based on the provided city, state, or ZIP code, with search radius options ranging from 1 to 100 miles. To confirm an appointment, customers must provide their first name, last name, phone number, and email address. Identity verification is required through either text message or email verification codes. Customers must complete and print their passport application form before applying at https://pptform.state.gov. Passport renewal by appointment is not available online; eligible customers must renew by mail or online through the State Department. Digital photos offered at many USPS locations comply with US Department of State regulations. The Privacy Act Statement indicates that customer information is used to schedule appointments for retail services and to identify fraudulent transactions, authorized by 39 U.S.C. 401, 403, and 404. The Department of State charges additional fees for Passport Books and/or Cards as well as processing fees, separate from USPS fees. Walk-in passport hours are available at select USPS locations for customers unable to verify identity online or preferred in-person service.
Schedule a Redelivery
Schedule a Redelivery If we missed you when we tried to deliver your mail, you can schedule a Redelivery online using a tracking number or the barcode number shown on the back of your PS Form 3849, We ReDeliver for You! Redeliveries can be scheduled online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For same-day Redelivery, make sure your request is submitted by 2 AM CST Monday-Saturday or your Redelivery will be scheduled for the next day. Check to determine if Redelivery is available for your address. Step 1: Check if Redelivery is available for your address. Customers must provide contact information including first name, last name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number, and email. The address must match the original delivery address. Step 2: Select packages for Redelivery. Enter a tracking or barcode number shown on the back of your PS Form 3849, We ReDeliver for You! All packages in a single Redelivery request must be associated to the same PS Form 3849. Tracking numbers are for individual packages, while barcode numbers can have multiple tracking numbers associated with them. Both tracking and barcode numbers are between 13 and 34 characters. Redelivery Types Available: - USPS Smart Parcel Locker: If "USPS Smart Parcel Locker Eligible" is checked on the front of PS Form 3849, packages can be delivered to USPS Smart Parcel Locker. Most electronic lockers are available 24/7 for pickup using a one-time pickup code (pickup hours based on Post Office location hours). - USPS Carrier Redelivery: Fill out the back of PS Form 3849 to let the carrier know when and where to leave the package, then put the form in your mailbox. - Customer Pickup: Go to the Post Office location written on the back of PS Form 3849 to pick up the package, or send someone as your representative. - Return to Sender by USPS: If you don't want the package, USPS will send it back to the shipper with the endorsement "Return to Sender." Step 3: Confirm selections for Redelivery. Customers must confirm they have read, understood, and accept the Terms and Conditions for Redelivery before proceeding. Step 4: Sign up for Informed Delivery. Customers can sign up for Informed Delivery notifications, a free feature that allows checking Redelivery status, previewing incoming mail, and more. Mail and packages will populate the dashboard and daily notifications in 2 to 5 business days. Customers can manually enter tracking numbers to track packages sooner and can unsubscribe at any time. For unavailable addresses, customers will need to pick up their mail or package at their local Post Office facility. Find local Post Office locations and pickup hours at USPS.com.
