Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Central & Western Nebraska
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10:00 AM CDT / 9:00 AM MDT today for central and western Nebraska, with visibility at one-quarter mile or less, creating hazardous driving conditions. Drivers should slow down, use headlights, and increase following distance.
Drivers in portions of central, north-central, southwest, and west-central Nebraska should exercise extreme caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in North Platte.
The advisory is in effect until 10:00 AM CDT / 9:00 AM MDT today, September 27. Visibility is one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, which could create hazardous driving conditions.
Affected areas include Eastern Cherry, Keya Paha, Boyd, Brown, Rock, Holt, Grant, Hooker, Thomas, Blaine, Loup, Garfield, Wheeler, Arthur, McPherson, Logan, Custer, Keith, Perkins, Lincoln, Chase, Hayes, and Frontier counties.
The NWS advises that if you are driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
