Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Central and Western Nebraska
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for central and western Nebraska from 2 AM CDT to 10 AM CDT on Sunday, September 27, warning of hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibility.
A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service in North Platte, Nebraska, for portions of central, north central, southwest, and west central Nebraska. The advisory is effective from 2 AM CDT / 1 AM MDT on Sunday, September 27, until 10 AM CDT / 9 AM MDT on Sunday, September 27.
Visibility will be reduced to one quarter mile or less in dense fog, which could make driving conditions hazardous.
Affected areas include Eastern Cherry, Keya Paha, Boyd, Brown, Rock, Holt, Grant, Hooker, Thomas, Blaine, Loup, Garfield, Wheeler, Arthur, McPherson, Logan, Custer, Keith, Perkins, Lincoln, Chase, Hayes, and Frontier counties.
Drivers are advised to slow down, use headlights on low beam, and leave plenty of distance between their vehicle and others on the road.
