A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for portions of central, north central, and northeast South Dakota until 12:00 PM CDT today, September 27. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Aberdeen has issued this advisory due to visibility of one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
Residents in Brown, Marshall, Day, Potter, Faulk, Spink, Clark, Stanley, Sully, Hughes, Hyde, Hand, Jones, Lyman, and Buffalo counties are affected. The low visibility conditions could make driving hazardous.
The NWS advises motorists to slow down, use headlights, and maintain plenty of distance ahead of their vehicle. This advisory was issued at 7:54 AM CDT and remains in effect until noon CDT today.
