A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Day, Faulk, Spink, Clark, Codington, Grant, Hamlin, Deuel, Stanley, Hughes, Hyde, Hand, Jones, Lyman, and Buffalo counties until 12:00 PM CDT today, September 27. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Aberdeen, SD, issued the advisory at 8:45 AM CDT.

Visibility is reported to be one-quarter mile or less in dense fog across portions of central, north central, and northeast South Dakota. This condition significantly reduces visibility and can make driving hazardous.

Drivers are advised to slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of them. These precautions are crucial to ensure safety during the advisory period.
