Stay out of the water at Minnesota Park Point and Wisconsin Point Beaches due to dangerous swimming conditions. The National Weather Service (NWS) Duluth has issued a Beach Hazards Statement effective until 10 PM CDT this evening, September 21.

Life-threatening waves and strong rip currents are expected along the Lake Superior shoreline in the Carlton/South St. Louis and Douglas areas. These conditions pose a significant risk to swimmers.

The NWS advises remaining out of the water to avoid these hazardous conditions. Additionally, residents and visitors should stay away from dangerous areas such as piers and breakwalls, where wave action can be particularly severe.

This statement was issued by NWS Duluth MN at 7:29 PM CDT and expires at 10:00 PM CDT tonight.
