The advisory, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Eureka CA, covers Northwestern Interior Mendocino, Northeastern Interior Mendocino, Southwestern Interior Mendocino, Southeastern Interior Mendocino, Northern Lake, Western Lake, Southwestern Lake, and Eastern Lake areas. This moderate to localized major HeatRisk may cause heat illnesses.
To protect yourself and others, the NWS recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying in air-conditioned rooms, staying out of the sun, and checking on relatives and neighbors. This advisory is effective from 8:36 AM PDT this morning.
