As of 6:58 PM MST, severe thunderstorms were detected along a line extending from 9 miles southwest of Avra Valley to 6 miles south of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, moving northeast at 35 mph. The primary hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and small hail. Impacts are expected to include damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Affected locations include Tucson, Catalina, Oro Valley, Marana, Oracle, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and surrounding communities. Major highways impacted are portions of I-19, Route 79, Route 86, Route 77, and I-10.
