LCEC Strengthens Power Grid for Storm Season in Cape Coral

LCEC Hardens Power Grid Ahead of Storm Season

Cape Coral utility Lee County Electric Cooperative has spent the past three years reinforcing its infrastructure to withstand severe weather, conducting quarterly inspections of backbone circuits and managing vegetation around power lines.

LCEC's storm preparation includes securing backup fuel, equipment, and supplies while training employees and coordinating with vendors on restoration procedures. When storms threaten, the utility mobilizes its full workforce to restore power.

LCEC urges residents and business owners to create their own storm plans and visit the utility's Hurricane Guide and Storm Center for preparation resources.
