LCEC AC Tips to Cut Summer Energy Bills in Cape Coral

Cape Coral, FL — Lee County Electric Cooperative released energy-saving advice as Southwest Florida heads into peak summer heat.
LCEC recommends setting thermostats to 78 degrees. Each degree below that adds 8 to 12 percent to cooling costs. The cooperative also advises residents to close blinds and curtains during the day to block heat, and to check AC filters monthly and replace them as needed.
