Richard John Jones, 82, U.S. Navy Veteran and Retired Electrician, Passes Away in Cape Coral

Richard John Jones, a U.S. Navy Veteran and long-time Cape Coral resident, passed away at 82. Jones served his country from 1961 to 1965, retiring to Florida in 1999 after a career as an electrician for Chrysler.

His passing marks the end of a life dedicated to family and service. Jones was a familiar face in Cape Coral, known for his commitment to both his family and his country.

Jones was married to Helen Jones for 56 years. He is survived by his wife, their four children, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A viewing for Richard John Jones took place on April 2, 2026, from 12 PM to 1 PM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society in Cape Coral. Funeral services immediately followed the viewing at 1 PM at the same location. Following the services, he was interred at Sarasota National Cemetery.
