The warning is in effect from 10 AM MST /10 AM PDT/ on Thursday, October 7, 2026, until 8 PM MST /8 PM PDT/ on Thursday, October 7, 2026. Dangerously hot conditions are expected, with afternoon temperatures ranging from 102 to 106 degrees Fahrenheit, posing a Major Heat Risk.

The NWS advises rescheduling strenuous outdoor activities to early mornings or evenings. Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing, and drink plenty of water. Heat stroke is a medical emergency; call 911 immediately if someone is overcome by heat and move them to a cool, shaded area.
