Bay Harbor Islands residents seeking access to town employee personnel records or employment verification must now direct their inquiries to specific departments.

The Town of Bay Harbor Islands' Department of Human Resources serves as the official custodian of all personnel records. Requests for copies of personnel files must be submitted through the Office of the Town Clerk. Evelyn Herbello in the Town Clerk's office can be reached at 305-866-6241, via email, or in person at 1045 95th Street, Bay Harbor Islands, FL 33154.

Town employees have the right to inspect their personnel files with reasonable notice. This inspection must occur during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., while the employee is off duty. The inspection is at the employee's own expense, according to the Town of Bay Harbor Islands Employee Policies and Procedures Manual.

For employment verifications, the Department of Human Resources is the only authorized entity to respond. All verification inquiries should be emailed to HR Kerry-Anne Billings. To ensure compliance and privacy, each request must include a signed authorization and release form from the employee.
