Youngstown and Fountain residents in Inland Bay are under a Tropical Storm Warning, effective immediately, issued by NWS Tallahassee FL on October 8 at 5:03 AM EDT. Tropical storm-force winds are expected within the next 36 hours. The warning expires October 8, 2026 at 1:15 PM UTC.

Residents should complete preparations now. Peak wind gusts of 15-25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, are possible, with potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Limited damage to property and scattered power outages are anticipated. Prepare for major flooding from heavy rain, with an additional 3-6 inches possible. A Flood Watch is in effect, and evacuations and rescues are likely. Heed any flood watches and warnings. The situation is favorable for several tornadoes, some potentially intense. Listen for tornado watches and warnings. If a tornado warning is issued, be ready to shelter quickly.
