Center for Environmental Research The Center's mission is to provide research, education and public service with the goal of maintaining environmental quality in Alabama. Continuing Education & Outreach Troy University offers a variety of continuing education opportunities ranging from computer networks/security and community development to education, medicine, language, real estate, law and more. Corporate Partnerships TROY partners with businesses, health systems, school districts, municipalities, professional associations and other organizations to offer employees unique opportunities for educational enhancement and career advancement. Government Relations The Office of Government Relations serves as a University liaison with state and federal governments and agencies. The office monitors the state and federal legislative process as it pertains to the mission of Troy University. International Arts Center A celebration of art, education and world cultures, the International Arts Center on the Troy Campus is the crowning jewel of the Janice Hawkins Cultural Arts Park. Complete with art galleries, an interactive terracotta warrior exhibit and graphic design classrooms, the Center is a valued addition to the TROY family. Miss TROY The Miss Troy University Pageant enjoys a long history of showcasing remarkable women who embody scholarship, success, style and service – the four points of the Miss America crown. Event Management At each of TROY's Alabama campuses, various meeting rooms and ballrooms are available for use by University and local organizations. Room capacities range from 12 to 55 persons and ballrooms on the Troy Campus offer groups and organizations up to 6,000 square-feet of space. IDEA Bank Located on the Square in Downtown Troy, The Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Accelerator (IDEA Bank) at Troy University will serve as the collaborative environment for connecting students, faculty, businesses, community, alumni, and beyond—creating an environment where ideas and expertise can be exchanged, visions transformed into reality, reality grown into new businesses and new businesses changing lives for the better. REACH Project A collaborative project between Troy University's colleges of Communication and Fine Arts and Health and Human Services, REACH seeks to utilize the technology of 3D printing to make prosthetics accessible in cost and distribution to children, veterans, elderly, and those without the socio-economic standing to afford these services within our community. Resources on Deafness & Blindness Troy University is dedicated to assisting the hearing or sight impaired within our communities through providing a series of helpful resources. TROY has demonstrated its commitment to serving the hearing and/or sight impaired through its bachelor's program in interpreter training and an annual Helen Keller Lecture series that highlights those who overcome physical obstacles to achieve success in life and career. Rosa Parks Museum & Library Located on the corner of Rosa Parks' historic arrest, the Rosa Parks Museum resides on the Montgomery Campus and welcomes thousands of visitors every year. People from around the globe come to learn more about Mrs. Parks and to watch the Montgomery Bus Boycott and Civil Rights movement come to life within the museum's stationary and traveling exhibits. Small Business Development Center TROY's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides free consulting to help new entrepreneurs evaluate their business ideas and existing businesses remain competitive in today's dynamic, global marketplace. Training seminars are designed to help broaden business knowledge, regardless of your level of experience. Sponsored Programs Since 1997, faculty and staff of Troy University have met the challenge of seeking and securing resources to support the university mission by generating over $287 million in external sponsor funding. The Troy University Office of Sponsored Programs is committed to the support and development of these activities by the university's faculty and staff, serving as the single point of contact for development, submission and management of proposals to external sponsors. Summer Camps Summertime memories are made at TROY! Every summer, the Troy Campus welcomes children and youth of all ages as they participate in camps focusing on a wide range of areas including theatre, music, math/science and athletics, just to name a few. Check out this summer's camp offerings, and get involved! TROY Public Radio A source of news, music and NPR programming, TROY Public Radio serves the tri-state area of central and southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. Students also have the opportunity to work hands-on in the radio realm alongside TROY's team of broadcast professionals. TROY TrojanVision As the University's official television station, TROY TrojanVision reaches more than 200,000 potential viewers with daily, student-led news broadcasts and educational, entertainment and sports programming. The station provides students with hands-on opportunities to produce a live, 30-minute mid-day and nightly news program. Walking Trails The Dothan Campus is home to the Harrison Walking Trail, which is made up of three paths totaling approximately four-and-a-half miles. Commissioned in 1990 by Dr. Thomas Harrison, former president of the Dothan Campus, provides one of Dothan's best exercise and nature venues. Wiregrass Archives Created at TROY's Dothan Campus in 2002, the Wiregrass Archives identifies, preserves and makes available to researchers the records and papers documenting the history and development of the Wiregrass region of Alabama, Georgia and Florida. ©

Aventura Community Green Garden
The Aventura Community Green Garden at Founders Park South (3105 N.E. 190 Street) features 4 by 12-foot garden sections filled with sterilized topsoil for residents to grow vegetables, flowers, herbs, and other plants. Membership To start gardening, Green Garden membership and garden section rental are required. Members must be Aventura residents. Garden sections are assigned in the order that the applications and required fees are received. The annual fee for one garden section is $150. Membership is valid for one year from the registration date. New members may join at any time during the year, providing they are 18 years of age or older. Hours Park hours vary by season. CaseAccess makes statewide case research more convenient for frequent professional users while maintaining the Clerks' role as the source of the official court record. CaseAccess is an optional, subscription-based research service available through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal (E-Filing Portal). It is designed for private attorneys, legal professionals and public researchers who regularly need to search case information across multiple Florida counties. CaseAccess brings Clerk-sourced case information together in one secure, streamlined statewide search platform. The service allows users to search case information from all 67 Florida counties through the Comprehensive Case Information System (CCIS). How can a private attorney, legal professional, or public researcher subscribe? To subscribe, visit the Florida Courts E-Filing Authority homepage and select the "Enter the Portal" button. Sign in to your active E-Filing Portal account, then select CaseAccess Subscription from the command ribbon to manage your subscription settings. If you do not already have an account, you must create one before subscribing. There is no cost to register for an E-Filing account. How much does it cost? CaseAccess is available for: $20 per month $200 per year Subscription fees support the technology, processing, security, daily updates, maintenance, and customer service necessary to operate the statewide research platform. The subscription fee is for the enhanced search experience and related services. Users are not purchasing or acquiring ownership of public court information. Is public court information still available for free? Yes. Public case information remains available through the existing public-access channels provided by individual Clerks. The Governor and the Florida State Emergency Response Team (SERT) are taking precautions now to ensure Florida remains prepared for potential impacts. Help is still available through the contacts below. Evacuation. Okaloosa County has ordered a mandatory evacuation of Zones A and B, effective noon Thursday. The order includes portions of coastal Mary Esther. Find your zone by entering your address at https://myokaloosa.com/gis_ps. If you are in Zone A or B, please leave now while roads are clear. County shelters opened at 6 p.m. Thursday; the current shelter list and evacuation details are at https://myokaloosa.com/eoc/home. Incident Operations Center (IOC) - Central Communications Center (CCC) | Florida Department of Juvenile Justice | Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Skip to main content Incident Operations Center (IOC) / Central Communications Center (CCC) Reporting Complaints to Central Communications Center Complaints concerning the delivery of services, safety, or security at a DJJ facility or program should be immediately reported to the Central Communications Center. The thoroughness of investigations and reviews of complaints can be significantly impacted by the information you provide. Please provide as much detailed information as possible. Though it is not required, providing your name and contact information is helpful so staff can contact you about the complaint. Incident/Complaint Hotline: (800) 355-2280 Complaints can also be: Faxed to the Office of the Inspector General at (850) 414-7182; or Mailed to the: Department of Juvenile Justice Office of Inspector General 2737 Centerview Drive Tallahassee, FL 32399-3100 Overview Karen Miller Incident Operations Center Director In 2013, the Department created the Incident Operations Center (IOC) in order to catalog and track all complaints and related correspondence received by DJJ. The IOC is responsible for monitoring corrective action taken by DJJ providers, including State-owned and operated facilities, following resolution of incidents reported through the Central Communications Center or Office of Inspector General. The unit is also responsible for conducting trend analysis as well as the daily reviews and assignments of incidents accepted by the CCC. The IOC is established under the Office of Inspector General and is staffed by duty officers, IOC analysts, a supervisor, and the IOC director. Matthew McCaffrey Manager, Central Communications Center The Central Communications Center (CCC) was established on July 6, 2004. The CCC replaced the Incident/Complaint Hotline Unit, which was established in 1994, and was under the Office of the Inspector General. The CCC is a user-friendly call-in center operating 365-days a year, with an emphasis on assisting Department, provider, and grant staff collection, retention, and dissemination of information related to the care, safety, and humane treatment of all youth served by the Department, providers, or grantees. Citizens with complaints related to Department operated facilities and programs can also make reports to the CCC. All reportable incidents as defined in Florida Administrative Code Rule 63F-11, are required to be called into the CCC within 2 hours of the incident occurring or program staff learning of the incident. The CCC prepares a Daily Report of all incidents reported during the previous 24 hours (6:01 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.). This report is distributed to the Secretary and the executive leadership on a daily basis, except on the weekends and holidays. An email notification system immediately alerts predetermined groups of management staff of particular incidents on a daily basis. This rule describes in detail incidents falling under the following seven categories. This is a great opportunity to protect your personal information and contribute to a safer community. Details: Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024 Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Location: Oakland Park City Hall, 300 NW 36th Street, Oakland Park, FL 33309 Shred-A-Thon: Safely dispose of your sensitive documents, such as old bank statements, credit card offers, and medical records. Protect yourself from identity theft by shredding documents that contain personal information. Operation Medicine Cabinet: Safely dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications. This helps prevent accidental poisoning and reduces the potential for drug abuse. Please do not flush medications down the toilet or throw them in the trash. Guidelines: For Shred-A-Thon: Limit of 5 boxes or bags per vehicle. Please remove binders and metal clips. Staples are okay. For Operation Medicine Cabinet: Accepted items include prescription medications (pills and patches), over-the-counter medications, and empty pill containers. Unaccepted items include needles, sharps, and thermometers. Please remove personal information from labels before dropping off medication. This is a free community event. International Arts Center A celebration of art, education and world cultures, the International Arts Center on the Troy Campus is the crowning jewel of the Janice Hawkins Cultural Arts Park. Complete with art galleries, an interactive terracotta warrior exhibit and graphic design classrooms, the Center is a valued addition to the TROY family. Miss TROY The Miss Troy University Pageant enjoys a long history of showcasing remarkable women who embody scholarship, success, style and service – the four points of the Miss America crown. Event Management At each of TROY's Alabama campuses, various meeting rooms and ballrooms are available for use by University and local organizations. Room capacities range from 12 to 55 persons and ballrooms on the Troy Campus offer groups and organizations up to 6,000 square-feet of space. IDEA Bank Located on the Square in Downtown Troy, The Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Accelerator (IDEA Bank) at Troy University will serve as the collaborative environment for connecting students, faculty, businesses, community, alumni, and beyond—creating an environment where ideas and expertise can be exchanged, visions transformed into reality, reality grown into new businesses and new businesses changing lives for the better. REACH Project A collaborative project between Troy University's colleges of Communication and Fine Arts and Health and Human Services, REACH seeks to utilize the technology of 3D printing to make prosthetics accessible in cost and distribution to children, veterans, elderly, and those without the socio-economic standing to afford these services within our community. Resources on Deafness & Blindness Troy University is dedicated to assisting the hearing or sight impaired within our communities through providing a series of helpful resources. TROY has demonstrated its commitment to serving the hearing and/or sight impaired through its bachelor's program in interpreter training and an annual Helen Keller Lecture series that highlights those who overcome physical obstacles to achieve success in life and career. Rosa Parks Museum & Library Located on the corner of Rosa Parks' historic arrest, the Rosa Parks Museum resides on the Montgomery Campus and welcomes thousands of visitors every year. People from around the globe come to learn more about Mrs. Parks and to watch the Montgomery Bus Boycott and Civil Rights movement come to life within the museum's stationary and traveling exhibits. Small Business Development Center TROY's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides free consulting to help new entrepreneurs evaluate their business ideas and existing businesses remain competitive in today's dynamic, global marketplace. Training seminars are designed to help broaden business knowledge, regardless of your level of experience. Sponsored Programs Since 1997, faculty and staff of Troy University have met the challenge of seeking and securing resources to support the university mission by generating over $287 million in external sponsor funding. The Troy University Office of Sponsored Programs is committed to the support and development of these activities by the university's faculty and staff, serving as the single point of contact for development, submission and management of proposals to external sponsors. Summer Camps Summertime memories are made at TROY! Every summer, the Troy Campus welcomes children and youth of all ages as they participate in camps focusing on a wide range of areas including theatre, music, math/science and athletics, just to name a few. TROY Public Radio A source of news, music and NPR programming, TROY Public Radio serves the tri-state area of central and southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. Students also have the opportunity to work hands-on in the radio realm alongside TROY's team of broadcast professionals. TROY TrojanVision As the University's official television station, TROY TrojanVision reaches more than 200,000 potential viewers with daily, student-led news broadcasts and educational, entertainment and sports programming. The station provides students with hands-on opportunities to produce a live, 30-minute mid-day and nightly news program. Walking Trails The Dothan Campus is home to the Harrison Walking Trail, which is made up of three paths totaling approximately four-and-a-half miles. Commissioned in 1990 by Dr. Thomas Harrison, former president of the Dothan Campus, provides one of Dothan's best exercise and nature venues. Wiregrass Archives Created at TROY's Dothan Campus in 2002, the Wiregrass Archives identifies, preserves and makes available to researchers the records and papers documenting the history and development of the Wiregrass region of Alabama, Georgia and Florida. ©

Story Time (0-5 yrs) Tuesday 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Join us for stories, songs, and crafts! Help your little ones develop an early love of reading with our weekly Story Time.
