Life-threatening storm surge of 4-7 feet above ground is possible between Friday morning and Saturday morning, with potential for flooding greater than 6 feet. If evacuation orders are given for your area, leave immediately to avoid being cut off from emergency services. Extensive inundation, structural damage, and impassable roads are anticipated.
Strong tropical storm force winds of 25-35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected, with potential for winds up to 73 mph. Prepare for significant wind damage to property. Protect life and property now and complete preparations before winds become hazardous.
A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 3-6 inches of rain expected. Emergency plans should include potential for major flooding from heavy rain, likely prompting evacuations and rescues. Heed all flood watches and warnings. The tornado threat has increased, with a potential for several tornadoes. Be ready to shelter quickly if a tornado warning is issued.
