EBR Teacher Kiera Deloch Named National Leadership Fellow

Kiera Deloch, a TAP content trainer with East Baton Rouge Parish Schools, has been selected for the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching Teacher Leader Fellows Program. She is one of 13 educators chosen nationwide for the fellowship, which runs from July 2026 through June 2027.
Deloch supports first- and second-year Teacher Advancement Program schools throughout the district. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Southern University and certifications in grades 6-12 English and Family and Consumer Sciences. She is pursuing a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Capella University.
The fellowship includes a five-day boot camp in Scottsdale, Arizona, virtual learning experiences, and shadowing with NIET team members working across the country. Fellows will contribute to national communications efforts, create professional learning resources, and assist with NIET's national conference and summer institute. Participants remain employed full-time by their districts.
"As an educator, I am passionate about helping teachers grow so they can positively impact student achievement," Deloch said. "I am honored to join this cohort of teacher leaders from across the country and look forward to bringing new insights and strategies back to East Baton Rouge Parish."
