The Alabama Attorney General's office conducted a consumer protection seminar on [Date of seminar, if available]. The event provided valuable information to attendees on recognizing and preventing various forms of fraud, including telemarketing scams, identity theft, and online phishing. Resources were shared on how to report suspected fraudulent activity to the Attorney General's office and other relevant agencies. The office is committed to empowering consumers and safeguarding them from exploitation.

Homeownership Assistance Program (HAP)
Homeownership Assistance Program (HAP) If you desire homeownership in Baldwin County but need help making it happen, the Homeownership Assistance Program may be for you. This program helps low- to moderate-income families afford a home by covering the gap between what they can afford and the actual cost of a home. What the Program Provides ● Financial assistance for down payments to help close the affordability gap ● Support for first-time and income-qualified buyers ● Guidance through the homebuying process Who May Qualify Households earning 80% or less of Area Median Income (AMI) who meet one of the following: ● Baldwin County residents during storm events who remained in the County ● Residents who relocated after storms and wish to return ● Individuals who were in the process of purchasing a storm-impacted home at the time of the disaster Homeowner Assistance Program Training for Lenders, Realtors, and Title Professionals Baldwin County hosted a training session on March 24, 2026, for lenders, realtors, and title professionals to provide an overview of the upcoming Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) funded through the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program. The training explains program eligibility, application steps, and how industry partners can assist prospective homebuyers who may qualify for assistance through the lending process. Baldwin County Progress Update on CR 26 (West Michigan Avenue) and South Hickory Street Intersection Improvements
The Baldwin County Commission announces that the intersection of County Road 26 (West Michigan Avenue) and South Hickory Street is now open to traffic. Roadway improvements are complete, and the intersection will operate with a temporary traffic signal until the permanent mast-arm signal is installed.
